CHINA
- Valid passport.
- Covering letter addressing to Delhi consulate “Consulate General of China, Delhi” on company letterhead with full passport details and travel details, mentioning who will take care of expenses, along with seal and sign on it.
- 02 colour photos, 48 mm x 33 mm, white background, 75% face should be visible.
- Itinerary booking printout.
- Original personal bank statement for the last 06 months of pax with bank seal and sign on it, showing minimum balance of Rs. 160,000.
- Hotel booking with pax names, physical address, and contact number of China.
- Day-to-day itinerary.
- Online visa form duly filled and signed by the pax only. Any issues with the signature on the visa application will not be accepted by VFS.
- Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months.
- Indian covering letter on company letterhead with full details and the seal of the company.
- Scanned copy of the invitation from China on company letterhead with full details, sign, and seal.
- Required ID proof of the invitation signatory.
- Personal bank statement with a minimum balance of ₹1.60 lakh (original). If the original bank statement is submitted, the bank seal and signature are also required.
- Return confirmation ticket.
- GST certificate.
- Business license copy.
Applicants who wish to visit their relatives in China due to work or study OR applicants who wish to apply as Dependent need to apply for S1 or S2 category.
- Visa Application Form (V.2013) – Duly filled. (You can download it from www.visaforchina.org.)
- Two white background passport size photographs.
- Typed covering letter, addressed To, The Visa Officer, Consulate General Of China, Delhi/ Consulate General Of People’s Republic Of China, Delhi. Mentioning applicants name, passport number, (as per passport) Purpose of visit, date of issue, and duration of stay.
- Invitation letter from relative staying in China due to work or study. i) Invitation letter should be addressed To, The Visa Officer, Consulate General of China, Delhi /Consulate General of People’s Republic of China, Delhi. ii) Mentioning inviter’s details such as address, contact details, etc. iii) Relative’s passport copies; first and last page. iv) Relative’s Chinese status (Chinese Visa) copy.
- Kinship Certificate. (Relationship Certificate which may include Birth certificate, Marriage certificate, etc.)
- Original passport with minimum validity of six months and a minimum of two blank pages. If applying for the S1 visa category then the passport must have a minimum validity of 12 months. Passport copies, first and last page.
- Valid Indian status (Indian visa) copy and original in case of foreign nationals.
- Copies of old Chinese visas if any.
Note :
- “Family member” refers to spouses, parents, sons/daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons/granddaughters, and parents-in-law.
- “For S1 Family member refers” to spouses, parents, sons & daughters under the age of 18 years, and parents-in-law.
- In the category S1 refers to Applicants who are applying as dependents of applicants who are on “Z” or “X” category in China.
- Applicants applying for the S1 visa category need to apply for a resident permit within 30 days after entering China.
- S2 visa category refers to a duration of stay less than or equal to 180 days.
- Duly filled Visa Application Form (V.2013) – You can download it from the website www.visaforchina.org.
- Two white background passport size photographs.
- Typed covering letter addressed to The Visa Officer, Consulate General of China, Delhi / Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Delhi, mentioning applicant's name, passport number (as per passport), Purpose of visit, date of issue, and duration of stay.
- Alien Employment License / Work Permit.
- Original passport with a minimum validity of 12 months and at least two blank pages. Copies of the first and last page of the passport.
- Valid Indian status (Indian visa) copy and original in the case of foreign nationals.
- Copies of any old Chinese visas, if applicable.
- For work visa (Z), a scanned copy of the notification of work permit is accepted, but the final decision is taken by the consulate. (Submit the original notification or work permit).
- Duly filled Visa Application Form (V.2013) – You can download it from the website www.visaforchina.org.
- Two white background passport size photographs.
- Typed covering letter addressed to The Visa Officer, Consulate General of China, Delhi / Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Delhi, mentionin applicant's name, passport number (as per passport), Purpose of visit, date of issue, and duration of stay.
- Student Visa Application Form (JW 201/202) in original and photocopy.
- Admission Notice in original and photocopy.
- Original passport with a minimum validity of 12 months and at least two blank pages. Copies of the first and last page of the passport.
- Valid Indian status (Indian visa) copy and original in the case of foreign nationals.
- Copies of any old Chinese visas, if applicable.
Note :
- If the duration of the course is less than or equal to 180 days, the applicant needs to apply for a visa category.
- Applicants applying for the X1 visa category need to apply for a resident permit within 30 days after entering China.
- It is advisable to attach a Physical Examination Certificate along with other documents.

- Two white background passport size photographs.
- Typed covering letter addressed to The Visa Officer, Consulate General of China, Delhi / Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Delhi, mentionin applicant's name, passport number (as per passport), Purpose of visit, date of issue, and duration of stay.
- Invitation letter from a relative staying in China on Permanent Residence Permit, which includes: The invitation letter should be addressed to The Visa Officer, Consulate General of China, Delhi / Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Delhi. The inviter's details such as address, contact details, etc. The relative’s passport copies (first and last page). The relative’s Chinese status (Chinese visa) copy.
- Kinship Certificate (Relationship certificate, which may include a birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.).
- Original passport with a minimum validity of six months and at least two blank pages. If applying for the Q1 visa category, the passport must have a minimum validity of 12 months. Passport copies of the first and last page.
- Valid Indian status (Indian visa) copy and original in the case of foreign nationals.
- Copies of any old Chinese visas, if applicable.
